The very first way, or the very first boring way to make money with affiliate marketing, is called content avatars. Basically, you create a persona that represents a brand or an affiliate offer. And I’m going to show you what I mean by that. It does not show your face, so you don’t show your face, but you create a brand around an affiliate offer or artificial avatar.
Right now, we are in front of Pinterest.com, one of the biggest social networks out there with millions, even billions, of people joining on a daily basis. Why am I showing you this? Because in order for you to make money with any type of affiliate offers or affiliate business models, you need traffic. You need people who are going to see your affiliate offers and potentially buy them so you can make money as a commission.
Pinterest.com gets 1.3 billion monthly visits. So, every month you have a pool of 1.3 billion people that could potentially see your content or your links, click them, and you can make money. Here, I have a page on Pinterest.com dedicated to dog training. The image behind the profile is an avatar of a dog, and there is no face, no person—it’s just dogs. This is created with AI.
This page dedicated to dog training gets 3 million monthly views just by posting content like this about dog training. The best part is, I’m going to show you how you can recreate all of these posts with a click of a button using AI. This is the purpose of using Pinterest: getting a ton of traffic and then putting your affiliate links in your bio. You can source an affiliate offer about dog training from a place called ClickBank.
Using ClickBank
On ClickBank, I’ve typed “dog training,” and the first result that I see is “brain training for dogs.” This offer pays us $45. I generate my link by clicking the “promote” button and then put this link on Pinterest. Every time someone clicks the link and makes a purchase, I’m going to be making $45. If you make two sales every day, you’re going to be making $100 on a daily basis.
Imagine, out of these 3 million people on a monthly basis, if 1% or even 0.1% of them click your links and buy the product or offer, you’re potentially sitting on thousands of dollars in affiliate commissions monthly. However, in some cases, you might not make any money. Let’s be real: this is affiliate marketing, a real business. It always depends on your niche, your offer, your traffic source, or how dedicated you are.
2. Affiliate Marketing Media Buyer
For faster results, our second boring way to make money is by becoming an affiliate marketing media buyer. This means buying media out of social networks to drive traffic to your affiliate offers. Media buyers are responsible for ads on platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube.
Media Buying on Facebook
Let’s go to a website called offer.com. Here, we can select any offer we like. For example, I found an offer called “Organifi Shop” that pays $30 per conversion. The goal here is to select this offer and see how it works. We need to see how other people are creating ads so we can duplicate what’s already working.
On Facebook’s Ads Library, change the country to “All” and the category to “All Ads.” Search for “Organifi Shop” to see active ads currently running. If an ad is active, it means it’s making money for its owners. You can mimic what already works by spinning the text and recreating the same image using AI or Canva to create Facebook ads running to the same offer.
Working as a Media Buyer
If you don’t want to invest your own money, you can become a media buyer for an affiliate company. Many companies are looking for media buyers, offering a lucrative salary plus bonuses. Starting as a media buyer can be a great way to learn how to buy media and bring people from platforms like Facebook to other websites, which is a valuable skill for creating your own business later on.
3. YouTube Avatars
The third boring way to make money with affiliate marketing is using YouTube avatars. Similar to Pinterest, but this time we’re using YouTube. On YouTube, you can create videos about topics like “Top 5 Summer Destinations.” A video with just 3,000 subscribers can have over 100,000 views, bringing traffic to your affiliate links in the description.
Creating YouTube Content
If you’re not a video producer, don’t worry. We’ll use AI tools like V to create videos. V is a powerful video software that can create videos with voiceovers and stunning footage. You can prompt the tool to create a video about “Five Top Summer Destinations” and generate a professional-looking video.
Once you have your video, upload it to YouTube. YouTube will start recommending it to audiences interested in summer or vacation videos. In your video description, place affiliate links from booking.com or Trip Advisor. Both have affiliate programs, and Trip Advisor offers 50% commissions, which can be very lucrative.
